About Connection, Compassion and Meditation

About Connection, Compassion and Meditation
Connection and Separation are binary beliefs for human beings.

We are either part of what we feel connected to or are not.

Connection to Others is the sense that you are part of the global family of human beings and not separated by race, colour, culture or beliefs.

Connection to Nature is the sense that you are a part of the global family of all living beings.

Connection to Nature isn't that we are 'in the forest', but that 'we are the forest'.

"I am the rain, and the rain is me."
- Dr Enrique Salmón

Compassion isn't an emotion; it's a basic instinctual drive for all social animals.

Compassion is the drive to release the suffering of a being that you feel connected to.

Meditation is a set of practices that help you become familiar and comfortable with your mind.

Only through the insight that meditation brings can we investigate our sense of connection and learn how far our compassion and self-compassion extend.

Notice how Connection, Compassion and Meditation are all interconnected.
